An online interactive exhibition of 2Pac’s life curated by Donald “C-Note” Hooker and Jessica “Noonie” Noble

On September 13, 1996, the world lost Tupac Amaru Shakur—poet, prophet, revolutionary, and one of the most influential voices hip-hop has ever known. Three decades later, his words still cut through noise, his vision still challenges systems, and his spirit still moves generations. This site is a living memorial dedicated to honoring that legacy: the artistry, the activism, the contradictions, and the enduring call for truth and freedom that defined 2Pac.

Donald “C-Note” Hooker, after 30 years of false imprisonment, walks free in the heart of Black August 2026 and immediately co-curates this exhibit. That fact alone is significant: a man the system tried to erase now shapes the public memory of Tupac Shakur. Known as the King of Prison Hip Hop and the world’s most prolific prisoner-artist, C-Note produced hundreds of paintings, paintoems, plays, and performances under extreme constraint—work exhibited, recited, and sold from Alcatraz to Berlin. That volume and consistency mirrors the relentless work ethic that defined 2Pac’s short career of albums, films, poetry, and unfinished projects still surfacing decades later. As the Black August Artist, C-Note’s focus on Black liberation and mass incarceration aligns with the same revolutionary spirit that runs through Tupac’s catalog and family history.

Jessica Noonie Noble brings a sharp cultural lens and dynamic storytelling rooted in the intersections of sports, gaming, entertainment, and music. As Editor-in-Chief of *Sports and More Sports*, she has consistently bridged athleticism and artistry, making room for stories that reach beyond the scoreboard. Her widely read 2024 year-in-review captured the biggest moments across those worlds, and her ongoing work continues to explore how culture moves us.
